Heart2Heart is a non-profit organization founded in 1999. Heart2Heart raises funds that help find matching donors for leukemia patients and supports leukemia research. Every year over 30,000 men, women, and children are diagnosed with leukemia. 30% of those patients are fortunate enough to find a match within their family. This leaves 21,000 patients that rely on an unrelated donor.
Over the past ten years, Heart2Heart has raised over $75,000 to offset the cost of being added to Be The Match national registry. Heart2Heart holds marrow donor drives throughout the year to allow everyone the opportunity of being added to Be The Match marrow registry. Currently there are over 5 million volunteer donors listed on Be The Match. Heart2Heart is actively recruiting individuals from all racial and ethnic backgrounds to improve the possibilities of finding an unrelated donor for ALL patients.
