Congratulations to our founder, Hilary Gushwa, for being asked to be a member of the high level volunteer committee for Be The Match’s “Be The One Run”.

The goal of this Run is to be as widely known as other major walk/runs…hopefully with Hilary’s efforts, as well as the other volunteers, they can make this a reality.

Heart2Heart will be setting up a team for the upcoming Long Beach Run in November 2011…stay tuned for more information.

Heart2Heart is proudly supporting Be The Match “Sing For Hope” event to be held Saturday April 9, 2011 in Long Beach, CA!

This wonderful evening of entertainment will feature a Broadway musical revue, dinner, auction, and most important of all–reunion of marrow transplant donors and recipients!

 On Sat. Nov. 20th, Heart2Heart founder Hilary Gushwa was interviewed on the Ventura County Radio Show  “1400 Locals Only”.

Be The One Run was a huge success!  Team Heart2Heart raced 5K to help raise funding for Be The Match Marrow Registry. Heart2Heart helped in the efforts of raising over $46,000 at this event.  Heart2Heart also donated the water that was given to the runners.

A Heart2Heart team has been set up  for the 1st annual “Be the One Run” in Long Beach, which benefits Be The Match Marrow Registry.

Every year 10,000 people with diseases such as leukemia and lymphoma need a marrow transplant but have no match in their family. These patients RELY on Be The Match to help them find an unrelated donor so that they can get the transplant necessary to survive.
